My Story
This September, I will walk 150k to raise £300 for the RNID. The D stands for Deaf, and that's how I describe myself. Hearing loss can become a serious disability which can be terribly isolating. Music, radio, phone calls, theatre, cinema, even televsion - all these things can become too difficult to enjoy and it's all too easy to retreat to a lonely bunker with little social contact. The RNID does great work helping people with all kinds of hearing loss to lead more inclusive lives.
My walk will be complicated because half of it will be in northern France, but if I look at is as 5 kilometers a day I'm sure I will be able to find lots of interesting places to walk in Normandy, Brittany and Pays de Loire.
Together, we'll make life more inclusive for deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus. With your support RNID is changing lives today. Please donate!
